Welcome back to our regular schedule at school! Hopefully everyone enjoyed their time with Winterim and MSI.
8th Grade:
Class discussed the similarities and differences between informational writing and argumentative writing. Students read a piece from ABC news about Nicolas Cage and looked for evidence within the text to indicate that he might be a vampire. The class then watched Cage's rebuttal on David Letterman and wrote down evidence that would suggest he is not a vampire. In their partnerships, students then wrote an informational paragraph using evidence from the text and film to show both sides of the issue.
7th Grade:
Students read aloud their Greek myths.
